Our Introduction to Barbering course is aimed at getting practical experience and exposure to mens hairdressing. The vast majority of people that take our course get a job in barbering afterwards. Many go on to open their own businesses and are now self employed.
Many of our students have received grants from FAS. Contact your FAS or Local Employment Services office to tell them you'd like to take the class. We can provide quotations or invoices as required by those agencies.
Duration
The Introduction to Barbering course lasts for 6 weeks, 4 days per week, from 10am to 4pm.

Introduction to Barbering Evening course
Wednesday and Thursday evenings, 5.30 to 7.30pm. Students need to provide 2 models each evening. If you don’t have one models can often be found on Grafton Street (with some gentle persuasion!).
Certificate
At the end of the course students are awarded a Knights School of Barbering Certificate of achievement.
Advanced Barbering
Our Advanced Barbering Course is aimed at those with experience in hairdressing or barbering looking to develop their skills. Read more.
Shaving Courses
We arrange courses in Hot and Cold Towel Shaving and face massage.
This is a growing area in mens grooming and one where Knights are
the experts. We run a one day course in Hot Towel Shaving and Face
Massage. This course is can be done on a one onone basis or small
groups. Students need to bring their own models to take a shaving
class.
